Between Images and Voices of the Forest: guided visit with Indigenous leaders and the Manifesto for the Flourishing of Diversity
Francisco and Wewito Piyãko, Ashaninka leaders, will guide visitors through Sebastião Salgado’s exhibition Amazônia. During the visit, the leaders will share reflections on the “outside gaze” and the “inside gaze” of the forest, connecting the photographer’s images with the living voices of the peoples portrayed. Following the tour, the Manifesto for the Flourishing of Diversity will be launched, with the participation of author Jerome Lewis, scientist Antonio Nobre, and Cristine Takuá and Carlos Papá of Escolas Vivas / Selvagem – Ciclo de Estudos sobre a Vida.
